Rotary Club of Box Hill Central

Rotary tends to attract a particular sort of person...

Usually they have been a "mover or shaker" or have a record of achievement in their career or perhaps they hold a senior position or they may own their own business.

Typically they enjoy the company of other people and love to share ideas, stop to chat and are happy to get involved when something needs to be done...

Most importantly they have a desire to help, to "put something back in" and they have decided to make this a priority in their lives.

Does this sound like you?  If it does, why not come along and see what we do?

We meet at Box Hill Golf Club (Melway 61 D3) on Wednesday mornings at 7:30am. We have breakfast and a guest speaker as we plan our many volunteering projects for the community.

Umbrella Dementia Cafes Ltd

Welcome to our Community

Umbrella Dementia Cafés are a network of informal and multigenerational community social groups for families and people living dementia.

We believe the key to personal wellbeing is social connectedness. It’s about having a community support network around you, understanding, accepting and including you.  It’s no different for people experiencing dementia.

Through our cafés we empower people living with dementia to regain their autonomy, boost their self-esteem and improve their wellbeing, while providing support to those in the caring role.

We are kickstarting our wonderful social groups in 2021 with supportive COVID safe processes. We follow all our local government directives so we can safely support our regular and new members every week.
