Scuba Culture is a very worth winner and should be admired for its passion, worldwide reputation and the opportunities it presents to the community here in Australia and internationally. Xavier built its operations from scratch and had the courage to continue to innovate and believe in the scuba business, even though the industry itself was struggling. It is now has the biggest dive facility in Victoria, and the second biggest in Australia. The business has a desire to create opportunities for the young and the physically disabled. They have had a 100% success rate in placing students in work after training. The business also extends itself to ethically helping small enterprises in the poor countries where Scuba Culture conducts its tours by purchasing and reselling some of their products. The most recent innovative program was to hire a Chinese-speaking scuba instructor to target the Chinese community, as diving is not accessible in China. As a result, the Chinese student new business intake went from 2% to 50% within 4 months. Xavier has the highest level of certification in the world and the business itself is seen to be worthy of performing on-site quality testing for one of the two largest scuba manufacturers in the world.
